Indonesia is on fire

Indonesia is on fire. Fires are connected with slash and burn practices used to clear deforested areas in order to plant oil palm. Here is a series of pictures from NASA that depict the extent of fires in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Good thing I won’t be in central/southern for another month at least, hopefully the rain season will have arrived by then.
